It looks as though it is well and truly over for Star Trek for the immediate future.
"Star Trek XI" Cancelled?
As it says in the article, this could actually be a good thing, hopefully by the time it does come back, the public will want it, and the current batch of writers/producers/directors will be long long gone, which can only be a good thing considering how bad ST had become towards the end.
So what's left for the hardcore Sci-fi junkie, well of course there's Stargate SG1 & Atlantis, and Battlestar Galactica, which unfortunately I can't watch as we can't afford to pay out £30+ a month for Sky. Fortunately, my boss at work is as big an Stargate fan as I am, and has kindly been recording the new season of Stargate Atlantis for me, but apart from that...I am bereft of Sci-Fi, for now.
