Summer, bah humbug

I hate and despise the summer months. You might think that rather mean and miserable of me, but it's the truth, and here are my reasons why.

1. It get's so damned hot, and it's an uncomfortbale heat, making you feel clamy and sticky all day long. And bear in mind, that in our flat, the temp tends to be a good 5 or so degrees warmer than outside.

2. The sun. It shines for far too many hours for my liking, from early morning until very late at night. Compeltely screwing with your internal clock/systems.

3. Sleeping becomes something of a challenge. Even at night, with the window open, it's still bloody hot, your uncomfortable, head sweating on the pillow. This all means you wake up as tired as when you first went to bed.

4. People. Simply put, the slightest bit of sun, and in this country, people rush out to 'tan'. Soaking up all those lovely cancer causing rays. It's fucking dangerous people, especially between about 11:00 and 15:00. Stay clear of the sun, or do you want to spend the last 10 or so years of your life in agony.

5. Hayfever. It's a god damned nuisance to say the least. Sneezing from first thing in the morning, to last thing at night, and for the last couple of years, I can add a constant runny nose, and itchy eyes whenever I venture outside.

So, yeah, all in all...summer bad. Come on winter.

*in my very best John Cleese voice* : Weirdo!

Think about the bbq's T! And I'm not much of a sun tanning person, I always have the whitest legs on the block, by I still like to sit outside and bbq stuff. :-D
