T’was my birthday last Thursday, had a nice day, lots of lovely prezzies, CD’s, DVD’s, Clothes and a Book. Everything I’d asked for (except for the clothes), plus one thing I wasn’t quite expecting that day.
We went out with my parents for lunch, to TGI Friday’s which they kindly paid for, and whilst there I received a call from the London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority, offering me one of the jobs I’d applied for. Whilst not the better of the two jobs I’d applied for, it’s still excellent news as it pays roughly £5k more a year and is a step in the right direction as far as my career is concerned. Now, if only I could win the lottery ;-)
All in all t’was a pretty good birthday.
