To say I’m more than a little worried this morning is an understatement, I’m worried as hell due to the ‘critical’ security alert.
Some 18 people were apparently arrested early this morning following months of work to stop a terrorist plot to blow up flights leaving the UK in mid flight. Due to this, all airlines have effectively banned hand baggage being taken on planes, everything HAS to be checked in, not even allowed to take books or newspapers on board.
So far this morning, just about every flight is delayed, with cancellations expected as the day goes on, and Heathrow shut to all incoming flights, and German airline Lufthansa cancelling all flights to the UK until at least 12:00pm today.
This security alert is expected to continue for a few days at least, so yeah, I’m worried.

Well, if you see Bruce Willis hanging around the airport, go home! Otherwise you should be ok.
Nah, seriously, airports are probably the safest place to be for the next couple of days.
Well, was going to go, but alas due to the delays and chaos RYanair have cancelled the majority of their flights...including mine :-(
