Two Minutes Silence

We was out doing our shopping today at 11:00, which is when the two minute silence is held for remembrance/armistice day.

Now, the supermarket we were in was good, gave us notice and asked people to observe the silence. I'd say that about 90% of the people in the shop did, however, there was 10% that couldn't be bothered. They obviously felt it was more important to do their shopping than spend two measly mintues thinking about and remembering all those who fought and are fighting for the very freedoms we take for granted.

I felt like going up to some of them, and just saying "thank you so much for paying your respects"...arrogant sods.
